Herbs can be aptly considered as Low growing shrubs which are most widely used to add refreshing flavor to food. Herbs can either be dried or fresh and also can be used in many forms i.e. whole, crushed or grounded. Apart from having medicinal and sacred uses they are most commonly used for culinary purposes. Spices are strong flavored seeds, fruit, bark or vegetable of a plant used add substance to food. Most common use of spices is for flavoring, coloring and preserving food. Generally, spices are dried but are also available in several forms: fresh, whole dried, or pre-ground dried.
